Join us for an interactive 2.5 hour training that bridges neuroscience, sensory processing, and identity development to explore how psychedelic research may offer insights into the lived experiences of neurodivergent individuals. Together, we'll explore the ways in which altered states can impact perception, emotional integration, and self-understanding without assuming clinical outcomes or pathologizing neurodivergence.
Designed for mental health professionals, this workshop centers autistic and ADHD perspectives in discussions of harm reduction, sensory attunement, unmasking, and current research on psychedelic compounds like MDMA, psilocybin, and ketamine.
Whether you're supporting clients who are exploring psychedelics on their own or simply want to deepen your understanding of how neurodivergence and altered states intersect, this space will offer practical insights, critical reflection, and grounded integration.

Course Objectives
- Identify ethical and harm-reduction considerations for psychedelic-informed therapy awareness, particularly in working with neurodivergent individuals.
- Describe how psychedelics impact key brain networks (Default Mode Network, Salience Network, Fronto-Parietal Network) and how these changes are bing studied in autistic and ADHD Populations
- Analyze current and emerging research on the use of psychedelic compounds in treating co-occuring conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD in autistic / ADHD individuals.
- Distinguish between psychedelic-assisted therapy (a clinical modality requiring advanced training and licensure) and psychedelic-informed therapy (a general awareness of research findings and client experiences relevant to practice).
Note: This course is research-informed educational training designed to review current and emerging literature on the intersections of psychedelics, autism, and ADHD. It does not prepare participants to provide psychedelic-assisted therapy or offer integration services. No clinical certification or credentialing to provide these services is provided. The term “psychedelic-informed” in this course refers to gaining a broad understanding of how research findings and client experiences may inform therapeutic awareness and harm reduction—not to clinical application or facilitation of psychedelic-assisted care.
