Join two experts in the field of Neurodiversity Affirming Clinical Education for a Pop-Up Live Town-Hall Style Workshop.
Most known for their courses on Neurodiversity Affirming Evaluation and Diagnosis, Molly Herold, EdM, MA, LCMHC and Jamie Roberts, LMFT are teaming up to tackle one of the most complex issues facing ND Affirming Clinicians today… How do I work with neurodivergent clients when... the world is on fire?
IE: How do I keep my clients safe, offer services like ND Affirming ADHD &/or Autism Evaluation which can result in a formal diagnosis, when the national health secretary has casually mentioned making life-saving medication harder to obtain and current levels of privacy & protection may be removed?
What are the known risks to diagnosis, clinical documentation and therapeutic work during this time?
There’s a LOT of confusion, misinformation and fear. Let’s get clear about the real risks, explore potential risks and remember the real benefits. Let us help you prepare for the complexity of discussing informed consent with clients during so much uncertainty.
This is casual, town-hall / podcast-style workshop. While the original course was offered for CE's - we really wanted to make the workshop more financially accessible, conversational and flexible. We’ll bring our knowledge, you bring your questions and conversation.
Voluntary, enthusiastic and informed on-going consent requires therapists to provide significant knowledge and psycho-education to ensure that clients have a clear understanding of the potential risks and benefits of therapy, diagnosis and formal documentation of clinical work. Informed consent as a therapeutic duty is often explored at length in graduate school and throughout a therapist’s supervision and continued education. However, the impact of major sociopolitical upheaval ON the informed consent process is deeply unexplored.
Let’s fix that!
